Sorry to hear. Wanna post a before shot? Or too soon? If you evaporated that much water, did you still have water running back to the tank from your sump? If not, that loss of flow and aeration may have hurt as much as any salinity increase.

I have a chance to buy someones setup and will find myself selling that tank to get most of my money back, but it will allow me to have an Apex system with some probes. But I am sure it is a classic system, as his set up seems a little older.

Just raise the Alk slowly - maybe 1 point every few days. JUST finally started dosing. Calcium was at 500, Magnesium at 1500, and ALK at 7. Thought I was gonna be dosing everything, but turns out just sodium bicarbonate/soda ask as of now. Gonna keep testing and see where we end up. If...

Sounds like two days of RAP for me. I went Saturday last year and still being newer it was OVERWHELMING! Glad I had my cooler on wheels so I had a place to stop and rest when needed.

I guess it didnt like being buried in the sand much and shrunk up between some rocks as I did NOT see it when I took it out and examined the plug.
