you need 12 bulkheads?
Depending on whether they are slip/slip etc and size - you should probably call ahead to see if any of the above mentioned stores has that many in stock in the size/configuration you want.
what about a hob skimmer like the aqua c remora?
it may not be the best - but it's pretty "popular" in the sense that there are a lot of them being used and you could probably get a good deal finding a used one.
i'll send you a pm with how to contact them. You may have to ship the skimmer to their warehouse in austin,tx.
here's their address:
Tunze USA
305 Victor St
Austin, TX 78753
but best to contact them before sending your skimmer in.
How are you measuring it...? I'd be sure that the test is correct before taking any of these actions:

Couple suggestions in there:
just put in an airstone to drive some more CO2 in. The ph should also drop during the daytime when more things...
hehe - you're asking the wrong guy.
A good skimmer (in my opinion), without talking brand names -
generates a good froth, requires minimal modifications (once set), and has minimal moving parts.
There are venturi skimmers, skimmers that use airstones, meshwheels, skimmers that use a "spray...
I'll offer my exp on maroons - (sorry for the hijack)
The maroon i had did not display aggression in the sense that it did not bother any of my other fish. Like a trigger or puffer fish it was delightful to have her approach you for food and eat pretty much anything.
However - it beat the...
Madreefer the first advice i would give to you is to dump that skimmer and put some money into a good one. btw are you still dosing vodka?
Anyways - assuming you decide against spending $$$ (totally understandable) then I think Nick's points here are right on. If the ball valve cannot be...
Yet another method here. Sorry - I know i'm not helping. :P
I use a Tunze ATO (osmolator) hooked into a PM Kalk Reactor.
The sensor triggers the tunze to add RODI water. Instead of adding it direct to the sump - i've set it so that it goes into the PM kalk reactor. The reactor then deposits...
i dunno if it is a condy or not - maybe barry can chime in - but i can say that clowns do not live in condylactis anemones because condy's live in the atlantic and clowns live in the pacific/indian oceans. :)
That stated - i've personally had a maroon clown force itself upon a condy (which in...
I do like the milwaukee. I had the pinpoint on my old tank (still there) in NY. The only difference I see is that the milwaukee has a small red dot (they call it an "Alarm") on it that lights up if your PH exceeds a level you set.
I would say either would work. Another thought would be to go...
I've seen a small bucket of those snails for sale in the asian market. There's one right across from OGII on route 22 in Central Jersey that I saw had a small batch of them. They were next to the littleneck clams and the blue crabs...In Manhattan - fugeaboutit - they are pretty common in...
I actually don't use salifert for Ph - i have a milwaukee ph monitor.
I use red sea for mag - but that is because it was the only kit available at my LFS.
salifert i use for ammonia/nitrite/nitrate.
Bill - i was thinking about moving to this - since it woudl also offer "emergency" use having the SW prepped.
But let me ask you this - after 7 days - do you find any "gunk" accumulating at the bottom? Not sure if you use ReefCrystals or some other salt?
unfortunately my sand bed has nothing but bacteria. A few years ago if you asked me - I would have been happy to pass along sand bed with mini-stars, amphipod, copepods etc. But that was hardly "sand" - it was borderline crushed coral. I got it from TampaBay Saltwater. Great stuff - and really...
