I love having books around. I agree with the Conscientious Marine Aquarist. I find it outdated, but if you stick to generalities it's great. But my goto book is The Dr. Burgess Mini-Atlas of Aquarium Fishes. For sure.

Thanks to Matte for the drilling. This 55g was only tempered on the bottom panel. Some are tempered on each panel. It depends somewhat on the manufacturer.

Sounds like one of the bulbs are going. If one bulb starts going bad the entire unit shuts down.

I guess it's a moderate flow. He's moved a couple of times so far, a total of maybe 8 inches across the rock.

Here's one of Rich's famous rbta's, I picked up last week. For scale, the Blue Jaw is about 8 inches.
