I never clean mine . I have a bunch of sand sifters that do some cleaning but I never directly clean . It is also only 1-1 1/2 " deep .

Dave, I also liked it alot but needed the extra rock for bio-filtration. That one piece I had in there was not porus and I figured some cured rock would help it . I also hate the heater so the next one will be different .thanks

I will say without a doubt clownfish and jawfish like to jump,not all of them but enough for me to put them on a list . I have found that with really thin fishing line and a weight you can make a rig that keeps any fish in a tank and is really not all that visable. Of course you have to adjust...

Theres a store in Bklyn , Island Aquariums ,Utica Avenue ,that builds tanks on site, I've been there a few times and the tanks look nice . Its only about 45 minutes from NJ so you can chack out build quality before commiting.
