I do not buy glass heaters anymore. Had too many crack. Continue the carbon and waterchanges as suggested and all should clear quickly. You'll be back in shape in no time.

I must be a lucky one. 9 times out of 10 all I had to do is twist the cap/nozzle and it started working again. One time though I found that the shaft was spinning and not the impeller. switched it out and was good to go.

Did you change the overflow water level or change pump? Sometimes it goes away, and sometimes people cover that hole and drill one lower. When the hole is in the water you will not hear it.

I just read (in the last month) an article on one of the known reef keepers who is dosing peroxide. There was no amount recommended and it actually said that is was not recommended that we try it. I'm going to see if I can find the article.

Sunny I get a faint smell once in a while also, never figured out why but it is seldom and it goes away on its own. As far as the carbon, I believe you have the ROX carbon right? I am switching mine out every 3-4 weeks. I know that the Rox absorbs more than normal carbon which is why Boomer says...
