Thanks so much to Andy & his wife for hosting the NJRC's September meeting. The meeting was a great success. Lots of great food, great people and plenty of raffle items to be had.
RichT did a demo of a Vortec pump on Andy's tank. It was fun seeing it in motion (and we fed it some bubbles to get...
If you can create a chamber around the in feed that has to go up and over/under/over baffles for the water to get out the bubbles. Another recommendation that I've gotten is to take a large piece of PVC pipe and let the water from the overflow flow into that and have to go up over the edge of it...
I changed the subjects of the posts on page 2 to reflect the new date (they'd gotten stuck in time and reflected an earlier date for the meeting). Just thought I'd let you know so that you wouldn't wonder why I was editing posts like a madwoman (hush)! :D
Re: Sept. Meeting-- Sunday Sept. 24th @ 1pm
We'll be there (2+2). Frags in hand. LOL!
Any particular topics of interest for discussion/workshop? I'm open so suggestions.
Thank you all! And here I thought I'd slipped by under the radar!
;D
Next year will be 40. Can't throw a big party for 39! I'll work my way back from there!
Well we're having a meeting with Fenner this weekend. We've built calcium reactors, done group buys, had acrylic demos, had Dr. Mac speak.
We'd love to have other ideas. Let's have em!
Glad to hear that the bigger one is feeding well. Must be fun to watch him! We feed our copperband mussels from the store. We feed some fresh and freeze the rest. Then the frozen ones we just break open when the time comes.
Bummer on the loss. Which one was it? I know the bigger one seemed weak at the beach, but I'm thinking the tiny one may have had some issues starting feeding. Just curious.
We land on that Monday from Jamaica so not such a great day for us to dive. The following weekend seems pretty open so far...
