Anybody out there have an FMM module. Looks like I need another one to mount for my ATK since it’s far away from my display. Let me know how much. Thanks
I just bought 2 40lb bags of dry Caribsea sand for 20.00 each. It’s the special grade and it was DIRTY. Had to rinse with hose. Looked like milk when I hosed it down. Either way live or dry I think it needs to be rinsed.
It’s been on my 40 breeder for over a year and I love it. I also have 3 1/2 flow meters on my manifold which is great for adjusting flow for my media based on the readings. Very useful in my opinion.
So all plumbing is officially done I think. Still have to plumb reactors but that’s in the future. Don’t need those now. Here is how I ended up running my external return with the Neptune 1” flow meter. Painted my pipe with flat black spray paint.
I plan on using mostly all new saltwater since I will be breaking down my smaller 32 AIO tank. I may throw some of that water in there along with the rock to seed the tank but the display is going to be mostly all new live rock I have had in a brute for over a year. My mind is so scrambled right...
Woohoo. Love the size of the 120. I am in the same process as you right now and can’t wait to see the finished result.
With yours does your tank have 2 holes behind the overflow? If so do you plan on running a herbie with an external return? Whatever you decide good luck and looking forward to...
Installed most of the plumbing below. Tried
To use as many unions as I could to make taking apart easy if I need to. Man, pvc is no longer cheap but I want to make sure I don’t have any issues once it’s all glued up
I have one in my tank the size of a small snake that I’m trying to catch. When I see him I have one chance to catch and every time I touch him with my tongs he disappears in the rock work. Plus all the little bristles gives him a good footing in the rockwork making it hard to pull him out
Spent last couple days tinkering around with plumbing. Still need my gate valve and pump to install down below then I have to install my flow meter on the top. Also built the manifold and ran lines for AWC and fresh air connect and hung hydra mounts. .pay no mind to the sloppy wires that will...
So I have finally decided to begin the transformation from 120 cichlid tank to 120 reef tank. I figured today was the day to transform all fish to my sons 75 and begin the breakdown. I have plenty to do but I already started doing all the tedious wire airline routing and running an outside...
I have this Berlin airlift protein skimmer that uses an air stone it’s about to get thrown out, last call before I get rid of it. Looks just like the one in this picture
