Yet another change in plans, lol. Kids are staying with g'ma, John is headed back eeeeeaaaaaaarllly Sunday morning and I'll be hitch hiking back up 95.
Looks like a great turn out from NJ! Way to go gang.
We'll be driving down Friday morning. At this rate it looks like the kids will be making the trip with us. We'll be staying until Sunday. I think posting our hotel rooms when we get into town would be a great idea.
Bob, enjoy the honor of having dinner with your 1st Lieutenant. Thank him for me...
Thank you both for your introductions. The elections continue to be very very close. Thanks to all who have voted and if you haven't voted... get on it!
Sounds like you're looking at a Ca reading of 550 or more. That sounds pretty high. What is your freshly mixed/aged saltwater? If it is closer to 400 then I'd do a pretty big water change to get it back in line. Any idea why it would be so high? How long has your tank been up and running? What's...
I thought it would be good to get an idea of who from NJRC was going to be at MACNA. This way when you're down there you know who else plans on attending! Make sure you take Copious notes so that you can share the wealth upon your return!
When are you arriving/departing?
Where are you staying...
I would refill and then drip some more... Can you fill the syringe 2x and not have a color change?! I would check/dose alk and I bet you'll find that the Ca number drops back into line. Very interesting problem you have there! Is there an expiration date on the test kit?
Just when you thought we may have forgotten... (Sorry about August, ToE was just a little busy!)
The September 2005 TOTM is now up and ready for your viewing pleasure! Feel free to post your TOTM comments/questions here!
You can find the TOTM on our home page: www.njreefers.org
You put 2ml of water into the vial, you put one level of those blue spoons of powder into the vial and then 8 drops of the other bottle (Ca2), then you put the skinny tip on the end of the syringe. After that you drew up liquid (from Ca3) into the syringe until the bottom of the black line was...

As we look to the fall schedule of NJRC meetings we thought it would be good to begin to put together some form of wish list of topics that people would like to discuss/have a speaker on at the meetings.
So... please post here if you have any wants/needs for a meeting topic *** OR *** if you...
LOL, Nagel, I was thinking the same thing! Northeast Aquatics is up in your neck of the woods. PM Fred for info on corals that he has available. Also if you can make it to the meeting the frags are always *flying*!
Welcome to NJRC!
