i'd probably change it whenever you notice the TDS change.
I would imagine a year is a benchmark and is dependent on each person's water. Like my wretched TDS is 345 out of tap - and I'd imagine my membrane is taking more of a beating then yours.
I should have taken a picture - but driving to Metropark -
Exxon - $2.49
right across the street:
BP - $1.91
So strange how gas prices can be 50 cents different between two stations that are about four car lengths apart.
my brother in law's mechanic is in the area - so whenever we get his car tuned/fixed - we're there.
Anyone ever go to that "amusement park" next door? Was wondering if that place is any good or am I risking my kids lives going in there...

LOL....oops I didn't know that. Just borrow Malv's angel - it'll probably mow all the GSP down...lol. That stated - it's a good thing to point out to Inqy since even buying LR from friends within the club doesn't guarantee that the LR will be without some kind of hitcher you don't want.
I'm thinking you were just joking though...but just in case anyone is reading the thread and doesn't know:

reeflections has a point - it's the sad truth but a lot of people jump into the hobby and then later find they are too busy or just not as...
+1 that's what I have done in the past and hope to do so in the future.
not sure on the last sentence - but I think the intent was that snails/stars go right in (no dips for them).
I'm still leaning towards the pet dander...but can you confirm the Alk number - is that meq/L or dKh? Just wondering because if it's meq/L - the water is supersaturated.
but if it's the dander - do you see any nasty build up in the socks? I guess I don't understand why the filter socks are not...
red slime is typically more descriptive of cyano bacteria. Have you googled diatoms and looked to see if that is what you have? or cyano?
if you bought the PC light in september - I doubt that is the problem.
The loss of a skimmer though is certainly something that may be contributing to your...
how big is the tank? how do you lose a shrimp in a nano? Forgive me for asking the dumb question...not a nano guy so I'm wondering why you couldn't just lift the LR out to find the shrimp?
Or is it just possible the shrimp shed and is hiding?
