I am cheap old school, clip on light with plant incandescent light. I took out enough cheato yesterday for about 6 people. I am considering changing during the summer but now the heat is not an issue. CF bulbs you need to find one with a 6500 wavelenght for best results if you are going that route.

Good points Rod....BTW I meant you didn't need a huge volume of flow. A SPS system requires more. You can see if by putting the powerhead on one side towards the surface you can create a circular motion on the surface. What you really NEED is gas exchange at the surface and movement for O2...

You can wait non of those corals needs high flow in fact hammers and the like LPS can get a bit shreaded in large flow.

RedFishBlueFish is most likely right...I had one in my nano that coraline grew on it's back so you coudn't see it unless it moved.

Nope just adjusted the salinity....but just wanted to let you know what it was used for. I also have a cheap power head, MJ1200 knockoff that if you just want it would bring that for you. If you are set on a K2 to test it out or something I can bring it too just have to pull it out of QT tank.

I had a K2 in my nano and tried without...caused a mess...and just put them on in my new tank...hmmm wonder what the difference would be.
