Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Yes it will help.
You could well be right Bob...I also know it smelled like garlic...used in conjuction with other forms of treatment for a short period.
I tried the pull it out method eventually it beat me....try the hydrogen peroxide after getting as much as possible off use an eye dropper maybe. It can and likely will choke out your coral.
I do the hyposalinity route in my QT. Feed with selcon added to food. Garlic also is in a lot of the nori sheets ect already. There is also a RidIck something like that which is basically a mega dose of garlic for the tank(from the smell of it).
Looks good.
Two suggestions.
1 Get rid of the bryopsis(sp)(pic6) I would tear it out and try hydrogen peroxide or something or raising your mag. In a nano or any tank it can become terror.
2 Did you think of using one of the rotating wavemakers instead of the locline? Would be less obtrusive.
Re: My Oceanic Tech 120 and a request for input.
FTS actinics
FTS LED
and finally my three new fish.
4Line in QT...added last night but no pic yet.
pair shark nosed gobbies in DT
Nobody paid attention to the gobbies...the 4 line was chased a bit covered the tank for a few nights at least. ...
Re: My Oceanic Tech 120 and a request for input.
Well got the new computer setup and pictures downloaded. So no major bad issues with the tank other then I broke my orange cap again. ::) So just imagine the pictures without the big leaf in front on the orange cap.
Bulldozer snail from...
I would prefer not to have to ship.....I work in NYC if there is someplace I can drop it off on the way from Little Silver, Woodbridge, Newark, to downtown NYC will do.
Same for me.
Note that I did it before I had the NJRC meeting at my house...I was worried that the extra 60 people in the house might be a problem...not exactly a small bunch of people either.
Nice tank, very nice pictures.
I would disagree with part of what you said. A watt is a watt, but a watt of MH is not the same as a watt of T5 or LED. If you compared the output of 1W of LED vs 1W of T5 vs 1W of MH you will not necessarily produce the same light and heat. In fact the more...
I would do about a 2G per week water change.
Little more is better then not enough and will be good for everyone.
Second the goby/blenny or small jawfish something on the bottom.
Don't use bioballs at all....better to use some live rock rubble or just hang a bag of carbon or something that you can switch out. Bioballs just tend to create nitrates.
