It's also this storm that's going to screw me. TanksNStuff had a great idea of just going slow and introducing one fish at a time.. but if this storm hits and my power goes out I only have one vortech battery backup.. well, i could run 2 pumps off of it, but it would drain faster.. DAMN YOU SANDY!
I tested today & I'm not seeing any Ammonia, Nitrate, or Nitrite. Some snails made it into the tank on accident and they're doing fine. Should I still wait it out to see if I get any?
haha. 75g is plenty for now!
Thanks!
Yesterday I finished filling the tank & mixed the salt. I put some live rock, live sand, & a sponge that's been sitting in my sump into the tank. Poured a few bottles of Dr's tims..
Now I wait & test.
I couldn't pass up on a deal for a stand/sump/tank from Xavier a few weeks ago.
The good thing is, I can set this up while my 50g is still running.
Over the past week in & half I've ordered a bunch of stuff. I shimmed & plumbed the tank. Ran regular water through it Monday to test for leaks...
I've never did this before. I bought composite wood/plastic shims. I have it leveled on the sides, but the front is not level. If I put the level on the actually tank itself on the sides or front it is not level. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

Thanks for all the input. That pipe was holding up the rest of the piping so it didn't stress it. I'll try to check home depot today. It says those pipe hangers are NOT in my local stores. I was able to glue it all last night.
Well, I purchased a brand new SWC 120 last week before I new I was getting an upgraded tank. Which I am actually selling. (I'm not trying to make a sales pitch here, I swear, lol)
My 18g skimmer section was small.. so I needed a smaller footprint skimmer...
Right now I have a 50g with 18g sump running a Bubble Magus 3.5. It seems to be a little under powered.
I'm putting together a 75g w/ 40gallon sump(which I'm finishing the plumbing today). I haven't chosen a skimmer for it yet. That's the last thing I need. I believe I might be going with a...
Nope, it can control any skimmers, heaters, etc.
Never had any issues.
For my heaters; i have it turn them off at temp (79.1) & back on when it hits (78.0)
Refuge light: I have it set to run opposite of my main lights
Skimmer: I have it to shut off when my return pump goes off & turn back...
