    Inherited 90

George, they were rusted in. I tried all the tricks I know to get the last one out, but eventually had to drill it out. When I re-installed the screws, I relied on the best stuff in the business to assure I'd get them out again if and when I needed to.... Now I buy this in the biggest...

"If you want to upgrade your tank I want you to upgrade my front porch!"

Matt, that's surprising....gas goes bad.....fairly quickly. Unless you have a gas stabilizer, I'd drain the gas (and throw it in you car), leaving the generator empty. The light volatiles quickly evaporate, making the starting process rather difficult. And pretty cool video on the cardinals.

    Inherited 90

It’s been a while since I’ve updated. Everything has just been humming along….until today. I go into the fish room and hear this noise coming from the sump area. I sit on my little stool and identify the eshine sump light as making the noise. I figure I’d have to replace the fan in the...

Installation of Outer Orbit Pro Series 48" light system

You could still use a toggle bolt....and one made for swag lights to easily hang the lights. These get drilled directly into the sheetrock and hold something like 50 pounds. Easy way to do it without putting up a board.

Sailfin and blue hippo tang - New Brunswick, NJ 08901

Ed, that Sailfin will look real nice in that big tank.

    Grill Mat

Marinated over night...if anything it was slightly more flavorable, with my guess being because the meat cooked in the marinate instead of falling into the grill. Potatoes. Fork both sides, microwave to partially cook (about 3-4 minutes; turn over, another 3 - 4 minutes); cut in half...

    Grill Mat

We are grill people....grill all year round. Was recently at a friends house who used a "grill mat" to cook the stuff on the grill. Looked like a piece of plastic. So I purchase two of these and tried them out tonight with a flank steak. I liked the fact that no marinate cooked...

    Dan's 150 Rebuild

???? I thought Marco rock was good clean dry rock. I was directly across from him at MACNA in NJ in 2009 and that was part of his stick. What's the issue?

    Starboard

Starboard is cutting board material and can be found in large sheets at commercial resturant supply houses in varying thichnesses. And as far as "what is it," it's high density polyethylene (HDPE).

    Looking for solid aluminum frame

It doesn't take much in the way of machining tools....aluminum can be cut and shaped with quality wood working tools.....table saws, chop saws, routers, etc. I know this because I'm in the process of helping my kid's boyfriend build a robot spider out of aluminum....six legs, 18 servos, a...

I'm willing to bet the real jaw-dropper is the price! What's a meager little frag selling for?

    Dan's 150 Rebuild

Your TDS meter reads to the hundredth position? Mine only reads to the ones position, so when I see a one, I know it's time to change the DI resin.

    Dan's 150 Rebuild

Too many factors impact precipitation.....temperature, magnesium level, alkalinity, etc. Because of all the factors, you can't simply state precipitation of calcium carbonate will occur at a certain ppm. This is the reason I switched to IO. Also finding out that Dr. Holmes-Farley also...

    Loctite Go2 Glue Reef Safe?

It most likely is reef safe.........HOWEVER! It is not a cyanoacrylate.....this glue (in semi layman's terms) is urethane and silicone based. The other negative is setup time. Reports of up to three hours before it gets sticky to hold. And finally, the Technical Data Sheet says, "The...

Need to redo my wiring. Anyone want to help?

What I did was to use large plastic conduit clamps. It's not the neatest, but it does allow be to easily remove the wire to clean that piece of equipment.....the plug end easily fits through the conduit clamp.

    Jgraz's march to 200DD

I think that tank needs some water! I like the open-ness of the rock. Doesn't look like the Berlin Wall (for those who remember that.) The open aspect gives the fish plenty of spaces to swim in and out and hide. Nice! And James, I didn't know what you were talking about with the...
