We fully broke down the 45g tank and we were moving it out to the garage last night so we could get the house in shape for Thanksgiving and hosting. The tank was connected to the sump with the glass holes overflow kit and we tried to move it all at once because again we were rushing. Well when...
Sand is in and this is pretty much the final aqauscape. We got some more tonga branch for the back corner part but we are going to leave it pretty open.

Couple of new live stock photos. We have not transferred everything over because we do not have the mesh cover...
Now just imagine if the tank was a bit bigger say like 140g bigger and you had it filled with all that coral:fox:
Tank looks amazing, glad you are doing so well with the 40.
We have kept favias for a long long time upon our cube. We had some success with Duncan's and some acan but the acan do need to be a bit higher. Our trumpets thrived in there.
I ran that same combo for a little while but really prefer the 50/50 bulbs. I was a lot happier with the colors in the tank. I had a bunch of favias in there that all seemed to like it.
Which lights do you have on there and how often do you replace them? The CF lights we ran where the 50/50 bulbs and they really need to be replaced every 6 months.
BTW the RSVP link is now in the first post of this thread. We have three cats so you really need to schedule and appointment to see them and let us know which one you want to see. :friendly_wink:
There are certain corals people have had for a long time that just become a canary in the coal mine. If you read a lot of the TOTM winners on RC, most of them will say they can just look at their tanks and know a parameter is off.
TGreetings everyone!! Nikki and I are glad to open our house for the holiday party this year. Since Sandy has wiped out our frag swap we decided to go to someone's house instead of a resturant so it could be a little less formal and we could all have some fun. We are going to have some big coral...
A 70g cube like that you could have a lot of fun. We have always loved a lot of small fish vs a few large ones and I think that strategy would work great for that tank.
Helfrichi firefish or purples depending on your taste
Anthias: Look for the smaller ones
