    A lawyer's guide to fatherhood...USATODAY

By Jonathan TurleyWed Jun 13, 7:11 AM ET Fatherhood is the one job that you can get without the slightest degree of experience, knowledge or talent (despite what you may hear to the contrary on Father's Day). For that reason, when a friend had his first child recently, I quickly rattled off the...

    Mantis shrimp?

    N. wennerae is quite common in gulf of mexico live rock. I had caught 4 of them (2 reddish, 2 greenish) and gave them to the Brooklyn Aquarium Society back when I lived in NY. They are pretty small and are the hammer type mantis. I suggest posting a request on the TBS forum in RC. (That's...

New Whale Sharks at Georgia Aquarium !!!! and other Stuff

Update....sadly another shark has died. History will determine whether they should stop attempting to breed or the death of the two was a fluke. 2 hours, 47 minutes ago Another whale shark died early Wednesday at the Georgia Aquarium, the second this year at the only facility outside Asia to...

    Pink bubble tip anemone

I would keep feeding it. I'm surprised that your maroons aren't viciously defending the anemone when you attempt to feed it...mine did. Then she'd promptly take the food from the tongs and bring it straight to the anemone.

    Looking for ATO recommendations

I've used this one with no issues: http://www.premiumaquatics.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=T3155.000&Category_Code=TUNZE It has a dual sensor that has an optical device and a float valve as a backup. Unfortunately the tunze oz is pricey relatively speaking.

    Bristleworm Trap

I can sympathize with candi - I used have a few mantis shrimp (the smaller kind from the gulf of mexico with hammers/not spears) and had to use the "take the rock out / pour water into burrow" technique. I have to warn you - if you try this - do not be surprised at how fast the critter will fly...

New Whale Sharks at Georgia Aquarium !!!! and other Stuff

I feel mixed about this. I mean this aquarium opened shop in 11/2005 thanks to Home Depot ($250 Million) and others and immediately acquire 3 male whale sharks...One of which dies in 1/2007. Considering they live a very long time in the wild (supposedly 50 plus years)...that's not a good track...

    Pink bubble tip anemone

The anemone might be moving for any number of reasons: lighting, water flow, or worst case scenario, water chemistry. It may keep moving or it may stay there permanently. If it's moved to a spot you don't like (i.e. right in the middle of your display on the glass), you may want to encourage...

Whole Life Insurance...am I getting ripped off?

Just a point of information... whether it is whole or term and the person dies, the money is not taxable. http://www.irs.gov/faqs/faq4-9.html Are proceeds paid under a life insurance contract taxable and do they have to be reported as income? Generally, if you receive the proceeds under a...

    What to put in aquafuge..?

I'm not so sure I'd put live sand in a fuge unless I knew there would enough diversity in the sand to avoid it becoming a nutrient sink. Pods would be perfectly happy in the chaeto and rubble. Most of the worms and mini stars that I saw in my sand were also quite happy to be in the chaeto. My...

Whole Life Insurance...am I getting ripped off?

http://money.cnn.com/2001/09/17/living/lifeinsurance/ http://www.smartmoney.com/consumer/index.cfm?story=20011105 It's $600 a year, so your financee is paying $12 per thousand coverage for whole life. It's okay - and that cost will go down as the years go by, but to me, $50,000 seems awfully...
