Hey Steve, well you can check out my thread. The other choice you have is the Oceanic Tech tank one center overflow. The 55 might not fit in the stand. I was thinking of doing a DYI 29G works you can get the kit for semi-homemade from a Pittsburgh outfit on ebay. I got an Orca sump 36x12x22 I...
I went with the 120 for this reason. There are distinct advantages too. A 48 inch light is cheaper then the 72, you have more options too. There are the two new more cube sized 150 and 200 G tanks that are sweet...I think the one is 4X3 and the other is other 3x3? The 90 is in between the 55 +...
Re: My Oceanic Tech 120 and a request for input.
Thanks for the great advice. :) Especially the ideal about the ATO that is a great idea. I do have room in the crawl space but it is not as easy to get to as directly into the stand obviously. I am for sure going to place the LR down before the...
So I caught some virus at a monthly meeting and, I "just had to have" a new tank.
I was lucky enough to spread it to my wife, and we have similar tastes, so we decided on the Oceanic Tech tank.
Then I was picking stuff up from Bill(thanks again for all the work), I was looking at his tanks with...
Do you have a surface skimmer. I had that problem until I installed one on my fresh water tank. In fact I had it on my nano also until I got it tuned the right way with the surface skimmer.
Great tank love the different "floors" with different type of coral.
Tell us more about what equipment you have(I am setting up the same sized tank so really interested there) and where you got the corals.
Thanks for sharing.
I will be happy to post some pics as soon as I can. The positive points: cost (bulbs included), moonlights, built to order, made in USA, good selection of number of bulbs, and a very good warranty. They even have a 12 bulb light that has all the features you could ask for built in timers ect.
No price but here is a nice link. Sounds like a common enough fish rarely imported.
Good choice and reef safe.

I am going to order from them for salt and a few other things. If someone wants I can add to the order. Just let me know I am going to order in the next couple days by Wed. I think.

Hey everyone I will post here and in the swap forum. With a little nudge from Phyl I called back Jim and asked for a donation for our swap, he kindly agreed to send us out a pump with my order. Here is their web site, check it out as they have some good deals going on now...
Must be in the name ;). Yes, he was very nice. Should see if he would be a sponser? I was pretty set on the Tek lights but cost wise with the 8 bulbs included I saved a good bit plus they come with the moonlights. I was thinking the Tek lights were wider but upon close study (what pictures I...
It will not hurt. I keep a bag hanging in my rear chamber all the time and am trying to figure out how I might do something similar on my new tank. Just make sure you change it occasionally as the P and SI will leach back out as it gets old.
The other thing I noticed when I set up my tank last summer was if the temp was a bit high it promoted growth. Flow, waterchanges, and use a turkeybaster. If you can blow it off before water changes (you I hope are using RO water to make your salt water right?) then syphon some off it will help...
FYI for what it is worth ordered my lights from them today. They basically make each one for you. I guess I spent a little more on the light then I could have through Ebay but at the same time I got the color I wanted ect. I was going to go with the Tek light but reefsandrotts you talked me into...
