Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Thought these might be cool for meets.
NJRC logo and web address on the back.
Real name on left breast with NJRC handle underneath (slightly smaller).
Sourced it at $7-$10 per shirt depending on amount ordered.
Can be turned around within a week (at this time).
THIS IS NOT AN ORDER, its a line...
Decided on final dimensions. 6' long, 8" wide, 10" high, approximately 21 gallons. Still going with 1/4" glass.
The big question now is bracing. I'd love to keep the top of the tank open, but I realize I may have to add a cross brace (or a few). Thaough I'm unsure if they would be necessary in...
Going to build a tank from 1/4" glass.
Tank dimensions will be: 5' or 6' long, 8" wide, 12" tall.
I've watched a number of vids but have no first hand experience doing this.
Any experience or advice would be appreciated.

The two that immediately came to mind. I had one of each of these in my 40b and they did fantastic.
Also, if your tank is stable (1+ years old) and has pods living in it, a spotted mandarin is an unusual and beautiful fish. I loved watching mine gliding around hunting the rocks.
Well, Trio inspired me to get off my arse and get moving on a skimmer build.
I found a few items around the hose in the aquarium junk box.
Skimmer being built for a IM Nuvo 10 with approximately 3" diameter clearance in the back chamber (though 2.5" is more realistic for fit).
I found a two...

I'm using a 3 tier media basket in chamber 1 - floss/carbon/phosban, then the soon to exist skimmer in chamber 2 with the heater, and a tunze nano ato in the return section. Getting crowded. :)
Nice to see its working, hopefully I've have the same luck.
So, I found a craigslist post for some Innovative Marine stuff - skimmer, reactor, fuge light, etc. The pics all look legit, showing shipping boxes and all equipment. It seems the story of a tank purchase which was never set up.

Hoping to make it.
Anthony, if you're too busy I can help with the nametags.
What we should do for the future is put in a T-shirt order, handle and real name above pocket, NJR logo on back ;). If interest I'm happy to source.
Tablespoon of fresh chopped clam, one fresh shrimp, small bits (1" square) of fish (eg salmon, whitefish), a piece of dried seaweed, one capful of garlic oil, a squeezer or two of Seldane, maybe a block of another food (frozen mysis or krill).
All in food processor.
Blend.
Place into an old food...
Russell,
Where are you located? Maybe your mother in law can let a club member in on day 5 or so to check on the tank for you. If youre in my area i'd be happy to check it for you.
Those swing arms are notorious for inaccuracy, even when clean and maintained. Theres various stories about with these... http://www.amazon.com/Milwaukee-MA887-Refractometer-Temperature-Compensation/dp/B007Z4ITWU but I picked one up over a year ago on advice of a few people. One of the best...
