Late reply here. Kristen and Tom, thanks for everything. Had a great time, especially T.
Didn't get to watch Game of Thrones, was too busy reading my comics. Oddly, found this...
So, I went to one of those today. Not my normal one, this one was a ways down the road. (note I used to live in Upstate, where that meant 45 minutes aways somewhere east-ish). I was there for a plastic piece for a fountain. As we wandered about we also decided to make the final plant run for...
Just an FYI. I picked up a Coralife 100(is) a few months ago for a 40b as I found it on sale at a big shop and I got a great deal at $100. Had a massive amount of microbubbles. Gave it about a week and a half and it calmed down a bit.
But, the pump/wheel kicked out after 6-8 weeks. Coralife...
Dropped a Bangai in the tank a few weeks ago. Went a day without feeding and tried frozen bloodworms and frozen greens, wouldn't touch them. Tried flakes and pellets, no dice. ATM it will only eat mysis or raw chopped up shrimp.
You are a very ingenious man. I'm sure you've heard that often.
None the less, I repeat it, and will under oath if the time ever comes. 'Yes, your Honor, I couldn't believe someone I knew was involved. I don't know much about him, but he is quite ingenious'.
My thanks. I shall be doing much...
Juan, sorry to hear. Are you sure they're dead and not just closed up until they adapt? Regardless, I have little, but might be able to offer a few pieces/cuts/frags if you're in need.
When I began my initial tank, a mere 9-10 months ago, my goal was to, eventually, harbor a mandarin.
I'm not looking to do anything soon, just trying to figure out if;
A) I can have on in my tank
B) What preps I may need over the next few months.
C) He'll like the little sailor outfit I made for...
Reefer,
I'm sorry, it went pretty quick. I had a call within an hour of posting it and was unable to get to the website during work to update the post.
Bought a house last year and the owner left a Weber Spirit E/SP 310 grill, one of those $800+ things.
Was 6 years old, needed some parts, so I dropped $150-180 in it for new ceramic inserts, new cast iron grill plates, etc...
Works great, looks good, no major deformities aside from the inside...
Not planning on a water change for a while, going to see if the decreasing food source and increasing Tech M impurity will do the job.
Eyeballing this for the most part based on bryopsis itself and the state of the inverts, in particular the micro-ceriths I have in the tank.
Day 3 (Monday)...
From what I understand lobsters have a general reputation of killing inverts, attempting to take down fish at night, and can pose a threat to corals. But, there is the argument that not all lobsters are equal. If it was me, I wouldn't risk it.
If not running a quarantine, A FW dip is very...
A frag I bought a few months back was a bryopsis carrier. I've battled this piece of rock three times now and always come out on top, usually with little bits of green sludge on my clothes and smelling of peroxide. Now, having returned from vacation and with the auto feeder having been on, I've...
Hey all. Hope everyone's good. I need some work done, in Brick, thats a bit beyond me. I was wondering if anyone is an electrician, a landscaper/paver, or knows anyone who is.
Electric work - Have a few rooms without power due to a short, possibly in outside lighting system. Replacement of...
Thanks all. Well, I don't believe I need a controller right now as all of the equipment I have is automated and none of it is crucial to my being in touch with it. But, I did however buy a small heater controller to get things started with and will eventually look into wiring up a two channel...
DANGER! RAMBLING POST!
So, with summer approaching I've decided to focus my concerns on heating my tank (it's like I'm from Bizzarro world).
Recent winter state:
Leftover heaters build. I thought - One 200W and two 150W heaters, all adjustable, they'll all monitor each other, prevent...
Dude. You're making this WAY too hard.
There's an easy way to get to 200g with each tank bottom within reach.
Just keep the 90 as is.
THEN, use tanks you have lying around, hell I can give you some, and ADD to your current setup.
This allows you to achieve a split level effect AND...
So, returned from the trip and, all in all, things went relatively well.
Algae bloom beginning so the reactor gets dropped in with some GFO today.
Autofeeding worked well for all with the exception of the new kid, a Darwin Clown. Small when intro’d to the tank and, seemingly, being unable to...
