I'd put my money on the phosphate media. Mabye just a little more rinsing next time.

When not rinsed completely they release aluminum something or another into the system. Causing problems. I lost quite a few pieces when I first tried it.

Are you using the gfo or the little whit pellets for phosphate removal(not sure of the name). When I used phosban it did not go well for me. Nor did carbon for that matter.

If I'm not mistaken they just repackage BRS. I could be wrong though

That exactly what I did. After I removed everything else I just sifted through the sand to pick out whatever I could find. If the are Nassarius snails, you could feed the tank just prior to pulling Everthing. That should bring them out of the sand, then they are easy to get.

Well this does suck. I'm officially out. I was really hopping to go. I saw so much stuff on their website too, and the new stuff they are getting. I'm bummed.
