Quick question. Do you have to flush the system each time you use it? Once I make my current batch of water it's gonna sit for a week or more till I need it again. Will I have to flush out a few gallons first?

Whatever you do DON'T get a plastic one. Trust me. I should have spent the extra $2.

Got an adapter when I bought the system. Seems to be a little better I'm getting about 5 gallons in about 3 hrs. I really think its the 40gpm water pressure I get here that's limiting me. Guess ill just deal with it. I just can't see getting a booster just to make RO/DI faster

What reefer is saying is that he uses the outside hose to make his RO/DI in the summer. Yes you are right pressure is mor or less the same anywhere in the house, BUT the closer you are to the supply the higher the pressure will be, though very slightly. Your right about the temp of the water...

Well I went to Hidden Reefs big sale today and came back disappointed. In my opinion coral selection was the pits. did pick up some salt and my son got a free betta. Anyway in my bid to find someting somewhere i went over to Allquatics, they still have quite a few of there frags from the swap...

So I moved it inside and hooked to kitchen faucet. Slightly warmed the water about 80*, and I have at least doubled my output. When I have more time I'll try the trick above. Thanks everyone for everything. John

Pressure was tested at the outside hosebib. 5 gallons took about 4 hrs or so. That's outside, do a bit cold. Maybe that's it. I'm gonna try at the laundry connection. If that's all I get then I'll just have to deal with it.

So I just got my RO DI yesterday and I went to use it only to find my home water pressure is at 40psi. This thing is making water slow. Even though it is a 100gpd system Im only seeing about 1gal per hr, is this what I'm to expect. Or is something off? Thanks John

That would be great. I live in Bordentown(about 10 s of where swap was), and Work in at the Elizabeth seaport so I have a good chunk of jersey covered.

Guess I'll have to get a few more lbs. When I was at the swap I kept going back to ultra corals to but I could only bring my self to about $100 worth. Gonna call ultra corals this week to see how much to ship another 20-25lbs.

Welcome to the world of Odyssea. When you do get ahold of the seller, I would try to get a extra ballast just to have on hand for when the next one goes. A friend had the same unit about 6 months and had to replace both ballast's during that time. He has since trashed the light. As far as Ebay...

Rock work looks great. Did you use all 100 lbs worth. I just picked up mine this past weekend but only got 65 lbs Iight need more. Light bar look great also.

For what it's worth, when I talked to him he said he had to come south to get it repaired. Considering his location the only places south of him within a reasonable distance that I know sell that exact fixture is fish factory and hidden reef both in Bristol, PA. Maybe you could call them and see...

He was trying to seel the light on ebay for $100 before he got it fixed. Then he offered it to me for $160 and he would get it fixed. I did not bite. I offered him $100 for a repaired light. He passed. This was all about 1 week ago. Here is the ebay listing...

Picking one up at the swap from ultracorals. Gonna put it above my 44gal corner. If I like it I'll get another for the 75 build. I've all but ruled out the mh/t5 above. Still considering a 6-8 bulb T5 though.
