If you don’t have corals I wouldn’t turn on the light. I would leave the fish with no lights. That way you don’t grow algae.

I was able to pick up my meat coral yesterday. My lights haven’t come on full yet. I wait to get a par measurement. I might have to move it for it to get more par. I placed it in a dark corner of the tank. 30” down on the sand. It’s getting 100 par so I will leave it and see what happens.

I find that corals like ranges in par. So if they are happy in 150 par would they be less happy in 125 par? Changing bulbs is cheap and if you replace them as needed it’s not a big deal. If you are on a budget or your corals are happy I would leave it alone. I run my t5 for 5hrs everyday so I...

I am also cleaning my wavemakers. I put them in a bucket with vinegar and hot water For a few hours for each pump. I use mostly Jebao wavemakers and they work for my setup. I have been using vinegar to clean pumps for years. I have never lost a pump so at $2 a bottle it’s my go to.
