So its the plants not the light for the pH. Now the light is for the plant which in turns help the pH but the light doesn't directly affect pH as far as I know. Had not found that discussion yet
I forget where but I read a discussion about light and pH and someone showed that lighting your sump doesn't affect your pH. I will try and search for that discussion
