I reply to the threat before but somehow thing does not show up so i post it again.
I consult with my guys at work and my father in law. they told me these.
1) 2 wave boxes at each side of the tank without/with synch will not work, wave will bashing each other and cancel out. both box on the...
Bob,
now don't forget about shutter speed if you are in M mode. Change Fstop will increase/decrease light. adjust your shutter speed to maintained your exposure. if you are in A mode, just change Fstop and shoot away. do you have DOF button on your camera? that would help you more on depth...
any place that carry tubing that is not limited at 25ft? is Lowes has anythinglike that?
I would not mind to color code the tube by color tape or permanent marker but i need a long 45 ft length instead of 25 ft.
if you are in M mode, don't use exposure compensation. however, set the fstop and shutter speed so that the light meter showed 0 then shoot away. Check your picture, if it still light, change shutter speed to higher number. Since you in M mode, I recommend to play around with shutter and...
Bob,
hope your camera the same with mine so you don't have to go thru software MENU to set exposure compensation.
pressdown on button that have sign +/- then rotate your command dial. that will give you PLUS and Minus EV value.
You can not altering light in Aperature Priority mode since you change the F stop the camera will change the shutter.
4 ways to appoach the problem of over exposure.
1) set camera on manual with setting of F stop and shutter speed showed in aperature priority BUT decrease your fstop 1 stop or...
when you measure 15VAC with square wave of 40hz to 60hz cycle, does it the amplitute stay same or the square goes from 0 to 15 and back to 0?
if its goes down to 0 to 15 and back down to 0 then this can be easily done with a pic micro controller PWM with an OPAMP or MOSFET drive.

go to home depot and buy a 6500k light fixture for outdoor. that is good for 60 gallons tank FOLR. I need to take the picture of the light i bought from homedepot for my refugium tank. it is 6500k with on/off light sensor built-in and it is 65 watt or so light.
bring a good tripod, good lens and macro lens and more lens, battery, charger, flash, flash bouncer, etc. gun, knife, big hammer incase of frustration kick in. it's going to be fun meeting.
Can we chip in for renting a good hot looking model?
don't be concern with too much of loosing Fstop in extension tube with digital camera. you can always increase your ISO to higher to compensate for speed lost. I am comming from film so 2 stops is a big deal for me with fuji velvia 50 or neopan 50 camera handheld. you will lose 2 stops with...
