tank looks fine man, i'd say get the proper test kits. get your parameters stable and just enjoy the ride. growth will come, IME, growth can stagnate then one day, boom, you get a sudden massive growth in everything. tank is still fairly young, give it some time.

I would actually getting a better Alk test kit then the API. I just don't trust their kits. I also like mine between 7~8 dKh, best way to lower it would be to let it just go down naturally. fast changes don't bode well with reef tanks.

what are your phosphates levels? also, what is an ATI drop reader for Alk? never heard of it.

i throw them in with bleach (no add scents or other additives) and then let me air dry out for 3-4 days, but i do an extra rinse cycle.

had one and lost 2 aussie colonies in the first week i used it. POS was leaking massive voltage in my tank. immediately tossed it and went back to jager. mine might of been just a bad egg but i would test for stray voltage when you switch over just incase.
