I like to call it a semi deep sand bed LOL. It's about 2-3 inches deep....not just for aesthetics. What is the concern with the sand bed?

Brandon....The one problem you are going to find is that no one wants to drill a 10 gallon. No one has much luck with them since the glass is so thin....at least that's what the guy at HP told me.

Would you T off the return line or the drain line?

I agree with Jcurry. T off the overflow with a ball valve to drain into the fuge and get rid of the pump.

I learned a neat trick....With the car running....disconnect the negative battery cable...if the car dies, it's your alternator...if it continues to run it's the battery or the starter. When the starter goes....you will notice a draining nosie from the starter until it just stops working ;D
