    Rose BTA / 08840

I have a rose BTA that got too big and split/cloned. I'd like to pass one along to another member for $20. If not - i will allow my two clowns to enjoy two anemones in the tank. Currently the clone is in a CPR in tank refugium temporarily, so it's very easy to pull out if someone wants it...

    Low PH problem

as i recall phyl and john used to have a kalk reactor and a calcium reactor - with the kalk acting as a buffer to keep the ph up.

    Anyone ship a car before?

you could use the amtrak auto train. You'd have to drive from Nj to Washington DC, then board the train with the car and go via train. you could book a sleeper car to sleep in, or just ride in a regular seat.

ringtraps are the circular ones. topless traps are also very popular since you can stack 15 of them together and it only takes up 4 feet of space/1 square foot wide.

    LBI Crabbing & Fishing??

Land based crabbing is hit or miss, so hitting 45 and keeping 9 aint bad. The only time i've done well on land was in the Chesapeake near the Assateague state park. it was early morning where you could see the trap (less than 2 feet) and by the time tide came in, the crabbing was much better...

    LBI Crabbing & Fishing??

yeah...hate to say this but the development along the shore compounded with over fishing have resulted in a lot less bushels to be had. I have never heard of anyone catching a bushel via pier, that doesn't mean it's impossible, just highly unlikely. At least not legal size. I've never rented...

    LBI Crabbing & Fishing??

crabbing - your plans are to try by land? i've never seen anyone do well via land unless its a "spot" that no one knows about lol. Your best bet would be to rent a boat, use traps baited with chicken and bunker and hit them as high tide is coming in around 5 to 8 feet of water. You'll have...

    Sal's 75G build

i really like the tunze 3155 ozmolator ATO. literally a set it and forget it device. My only problem was when a sensor failed after 3 years - which they replaced for a very nominal fee (like $20).

    Sal's 75G build

depending on the ambient temp of the house - that sump area may get humid. i've seen some folks add a fan to help with the evap. Or you could cover a portion of the sump. Normally i wouldn't suggest that but since your display is an open top - plenty of evap should happen there. where are...

    Reeflo Pumps

I just realized i've had my reeflo tarpon return pump since 2008. I was thinking maybe i should pick up a back-up and found out they discontinued them lol. The crazy thing is I bought this used from Austin. Who knows how long he used it for. Anyways knock on wood. Hopefully my tank will...

    Berghia Nudibranch

thunderdome...lmao. Anyways if you're patient enough arvind, for every aip that appears, put a frag on it...cover it with epoxy. Epoxy doesn't add any bioload, doesn't beg for more food, and it is relatively inexpensive (while being useful mounting frags). Although i would love to see...

    Doh! And Actually Double Doh!

what kind of ato are you using paul? if it was a tunze - it should have switched off after 10 minutes of continuous use. Also i have like four of these positioned around the tank and sump. Now my whole family just goes "dad" when they hear the loud beeping...lol...
