With regards to Tanked, I dunno - I watch it for it's value in terms of killing time. I do not watch it to garner any particular insight. Although when they went to the wholesaler, the owner there was clearly very knowledgeable. It would be interesting to see a show about that operation! but...
scarlet reef hermits. They are expensive but they have not been seen to bother anything in my tank.
no lobsters. Shrimp are a toss up. Most people like them because they add activity to the bottom of the tank.
The only "crab" I would trust would be an anemone crab or similarly a porcelain crab.

I am fairly sure you'd have to order rotifers. You can order them either live (if in a rush) or freeze dried. The latter is far cheaper but it will take a while before the colony is anywhere near big enough to support a batch of fry. If you go the live route and are not available to accept...

I saw a blenny in the display tank in Maryland's Assateague Island Visitor Center...he was in a tank next to the tank with the flounder and sea horse...lol

matt any update on this...i saw on the change dot org site that there is a petition (over 100,000 signed) to get this to be on the endangered list.
I read some of the original petition below - it remarks that florida exports up to 100,000 of these seahorses...
