get a tds meter...then you can keep track and will know in the future if the filters need replacing. They are not expensive.

hmmm the one i know of (that did a great job putting in a direct vent water heater for me) is pretty far from that location and I doubt he'd be willing to send people up to do the job. i could pm you his info if you want. I want to say he's based out of ocean township.
