what kind of lighting and how did you set up that rail behind it? I like!
Btw are you sure those angry birds are reef safe? they look awfully angry. HAHAAH!
there's a group buy coming up and you could get a 1/15 chiller to help stabilize the temp on a 29. Or if the 29 doesn't have a top - add a fan to help keep the temps lower. SH do not need special light so if you can avoid MH or similar heat emitting lamps - even better.
i use reef crystals. frankly my tank is still nowhere near what jersey wendy's was when she used RC. Most likely it has more to do with an individual's husbandry skills, and less to do with the salt brand.
I have a MRC model (beckett type) - it does the same thing. heck mine cuts out as soon as I feed pe mysis. As long as it comes back on as usual - it's fine.
i wish my kids would help...all they want to do is build a fort on the front lawn and then launch snow balls at the neighbor kids. I teach them well...
Awesome NBA commercial with a song that I think is great. With so many hall of fame players, I was impressed that the NBA chose to include one NJ Net (who died in a terrible car accident). The chest bump between ewing and stat was photoshopped perfectly. Kobe Bryant and Magic johnson taking...
LMAO.
uh tony - you are so rude, i mean he is keeping cyano and hair algae alive. Sheesh. LMAO! tony got you good mark!
seriously but back on this topic - i don't have much hope for the worm.
@brandonsreef - thanks! what a cool looking tank jim. A blue devil damsel? you are a man who likes risks I see...hahahaha.
nice clam too. what kind of lights are you running? but i digress...great tank. very different from the usual pile o rocks.
a nano tank is nice.
a bar in the garage is nicer! hahaha
welcome and glad you stopped in on this board. Hope we can be as helpful as the guys on nano-reef! Although if it's a contest in sarcasm/humor - we would undoubtedly win! LOL.
The amt depends on the method of dosage (reactor or not) and also how much your tank is consuming the stuff. A reactor dedicated to kalk will require slightly less since it will help prevent gas/exchange with the environment while mixing. If you are dropping kalk direct into the ATO then some...
The big benefit is the stuff is cheap. So large tanks that need a lot of it - it's much cheaper vs 2 part. The big risk is that the stuff is caustic and at saturation it's pH is at 12 so as you noted overdosing a large bucket of water at ph12 is very bad for the tank. Hence the need to dose...
RC? what's that? LOL just kidding. I love Kole tangs. The fish store people always have a double take when my kids blurt out "hey dad look at the yellow-eye kole tang".
The clown and the brown are both the same genus - but it's good you intro'd them together.
Anyways - i have to post this now that you have this many tangs:
