Mike, Do you have a valve on the outlet of your skimmer? I know when I restart my skimmer, I have to shut of the ball valve on the pump and open it up slowly or else I have water shooting out everywhere. hth

I used a ton of dead rock to start my system up. I rinsed it all off really well, then let it cure in the tank. BEWARE...it will stink! If you can cure it in a seperate container in a garage or basement that would probably be ideal.
