The base portion of the rock is touching the bottom, you can't even see them...lol. I went with a really deep sand bed for some odd reason :cough: looks awesome :cough:

I have 2 NO Flourescent bulbs (Phillips Natural Sunshine) over my 55 fuge. I am growing; Cheato, Green Grape Caulpera, Red Grape Caulpera (not much of this), Some stuff I got from John and Phyl.. I have no idea what it is...some sort of caulpera I would guess and Halmedia.
It just doesn't seem cost effective for a large DIY light fixture.
The cheapest bulbs this guy used were $7 a piece, if you're doing a 100 bulb system...that's 700 bucks, and you haven't even purchased anything else for it. Then he speaks about those actinic bulbs @ $24 a piece! That's nuts...

Well, my thinking is that if you don't keep up on evap, and the water level drops below that last baffle there isn't any water left to feed that last chamber, if no water can make it in there that's when the pump will run dry. I think that last baffle needs to have the water go under...
