Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Not to worry Barry. I won't be neglecting my reef and I also won't be going "O" its just too big.
I'll be sticking with my "S" gauge. Of course Mongoose has been trying to drag me over to the "N" gauge side of the fence. :)
Good luck with the new tank Kat.
I'm sorry for your fish loss.
Of course I'm probably the only one who also grieves for the loss of all those tiny, fascinating creatures that lived in your sandbed! ;)
Pretty scary thought, but I've spent a lot of time on train sites lately.
When the 180 goes up and if I retire everything else but the 55, I've found room for a 10'x10' layout.
I've actually made a first cut track plan for it!
Don't give up on it. I had a nasty outbreak in my 55 that lasted a couple of months. Once I got rid of it, it never came back.
Phyl's idea of siphoning through a filter sock is a good one. I did that as well as still doing some water changes. I increased the flow and did a couple of no light...
Sounds good! My biggest gripe is not seeing prices on livestock. I don't mind grease pens as long as I can red them.
2nd biggest gripe is not keeping the posted hours.
My main reasons to visit an LFS are:
1)Great, healthy, livestock. I only buy cleanup critters online.
2)Good selection of...
Too bad! But I may be going back again next year. Instead of the meeting I was sitting in Wasatch Brewery drinking Polygamy Porter and Devastator Double Bock!
Thanks for the link.
There must be a lot of "Reefers" in Utah because I didn't get a single comment!
I wore the maroon shirt on the flight out, and Cindy wore hers on another day.
NJRC must be a household name throughout the land. ;D
I know there are several model railroaders in our ranks. Here are some shots from the Heber Valley Historical Railroad that I visited while vacationing in Utah last week.
Check out the shirt I'm wearing! ;)
NICE! Now I feel guilty because I skipped cleaning the bottom before I started a new batch, and it's been more than 2 batches since the last cleaning. :o
I use Tropic Marin and get a lot less than I got with IO. IO was much better than Reef Crystals, which needed to be cleaned after every batch.
I've added another set of pics to track growth under VHO's. Approximately 9 months have passed since the last set.

PS: My Milli loves VHO's! ;)
Congrats Stan!
Sorry for the belated good wishes, I've been offline for a week while vacationing.
The girls are gorgeous! Hope mom and dad are doing well! ;)
Are you running a skimmer and is it really putting out a lot?
That could explain the drop, but only if you were topping off with RO/DI to replace what was skimmed.
Were the rocks dry or wet when added? Is there a chance they were in a container of saltwater that evaporated leaving salt...
I would stop trying to fix the level until your are sure that it is being measured correctly to start.
You dropped from a steady state 1.023 for no apparent reaason to 1.018. You mixed five gallons of water at 1.030 and did a water change on a tank at 1.018 and drove it off the upper scale...
