Figured it out - it wasn't the cable but the USB port on the Radion - it is a bit squirrely. If you jiggle the cable the right way it is recognized. Thx all for your help and mods pls close.

@redfishbluefish - yes, I found that thread too. I'm trying to do a factory reset on the Radion and the Connection Manager doesn't see the Radion to do the reset. That's why I want one of their cables so that I can eliminate that as the source of the problem.

Thx but I have tried at least a dozen USB cables none of which which worked. I tried to buy one from EcoTech except I got this: so I'm trying to borrow an authentic EcoTech cable so I can rule out the cables I have as the point of failure - I appreciate the offer.
