I have a love/hate relationship with hermit crabs. I wish they could not detect food so well. There are maybe 6 or 8 of them in my tank but two of them are over 10 years old and they are big and tough.
When I feed the corals (which I do while I am waiting for a phone call) the crabs of course...
The thick slimy stuff in your fuge is probably cyano but I can't see it from here.
That stuff is hard to eliminate and can stick around for months.
Sounds like you have a severe problem and needs severe control methods.
Your tank obviousely has too much organic matter in it either from too many...
I am not sure but I would imagine fish eggs would be better only because they would eventually become fish and have exactly what a fish needs. I am sure crustacean eggs are fine also.
I tried a new experiment today which did not come out exactly as planned. I am looking for a sticky food that I can feed torch corals with. I can feed the horizontal heads but the verticle ones are impossable to feed. They eat blackworms and look much better afterwards but I can only feed a few...
Ok but they are not nudibranchs. Nudibranchs are carniverous and slugs are herbifores.
Nudibranches have external gills that look like feathers and slugs absorb oxygen through their skin. Two different animals.
Elisia Crispata are slugs. Wierd animals also

Here is another one...
Thats interesting as I am the inventer of an aquarium device which I patented 10 or 15 years ago. I sold over 6,000 of them before I stopped building them.
I will not me making algae troughs, they are far to easy to make and anyone can make one in ten minutes...
I have always said that if your fish are exhibiting mating behavior they are in the best of health. There are as many varied mating behaviors as there are fish. My fireclowns just get next to each other and shake while smacking each other with their tails, my bluestripped pipefish kind of swim...
Here are some pictures from that trip that may not have been in the article.
This is the East River, which is a salt water estuary and not a river at all. Manhattan is on the left and Queens NY on the right. This area is called Hells Gate because of the currents.
This is the Verrazino Bridge...
This summer I bought a new boat. The problem was that my marina is on the north shore of Long Island and the boat was on the south shore. I sailed it around with only a few problems.
My closest friend, and fellow Captain Richie, is in the Coast Guard Auxiliary and he brought the boat around with...
I know everyone has seen those dyed freshwater fish that are injected with green, pink or blue dyes. Yes I know it's wierd, cruel, mean, whatever, but I just came back from the LFS around the corner and now you can buy fish like that but they have names, hearts, Christmas trees, Easter bunnies...
