If they are not eating at your LFS then I wouldn't risk getting one. I only had one copperband and he only lasted a month. Now I really think it had more to do with me being stumborn and trying to keep him in a 36g tank.

@Mark_C that UV filter. You said it rated for 60g? Amazon said 50g. Was this the only UV filter you ran on your tank? If I recall correctly you had a 90g correct?

Thanks for the info. I'm thinking more of getting the harlequin shrimp because they are very cool looking shrimp. My sand star have already lived a year in my tank and by what I'm ready people say they avg about 1.5 years in tanks. I just need to do more research and make sure he will go...
