I always dip my corals as well. Now I use Revie and never had an issue. After our meeting where I got two new corals I dipped and my wife said she could smell something funky. I wonder if my dip expired.

I was thinking asterina as well guys so thanks. Not sure if I should get a harelquin shrimp cause I do have a sand star and a sea star. I read what @downbeach just posted. It seems like they could be fine in my tank but could also eat my corals. I don't think I want to risk my corals but...

So last night I was looking at my tank and noticed a very tinny starfish on the glass. This morning I see two on the glass. My question is can anyone ID (I might be able to get a better image later)? Also are they bad or ok to have?

@redfishbluefish if you need any rock I have some, not much but some, that been sitting in a dark bin in my laundry room for about a year now. You can have it if you need it.

Paul that sucks. Hopefully things turn around for you. Beside what was said above maybe check your power heads and/or other magnetic stuff to see if they are breaking down. I also assume you checked you levels

Nice information @Mark_C . By any chance what size/model is your current UV filter (the one that doesn't fit on your current nano)?

I agree GSP most people don't like but I have two 'island' just for my GSP. I love how they flow and look inside the tank.
