i have led rope lights green- white and the leds in there are not strong enough or focused enough to provide penetrating through the water while the t-5s are on- i was wondering if any of you knew any places in NJ that sells strong leds seems like most places are just online sites- kind of hard...
oh jeeze i started a fight lol- either of you two know where i can get leds that i can put together that will produce strong shimmer over my 75 while all the t-5s are on? Kinda want a simple build thats going to work like halides so i dont waist my money and time.
hah thanks i wsh they have just a plain and simple build on there that use a few leds to put over a t-5 tank- i saw some member put a picture of there t-5 tank with 6 leds over it 12 watts totatl idk how he got 12 i couldnt find anyone selling 2 watt leds- he has 3 on each side angles towards...
i hear you with the coral colors- i love the red and blues and greens to show different coral colors-i found this thread on rc and will be experimenting with leds when they are cheaper and more available around here and not just online led dealers...
very nice what leds are in your fixture and how much power are they getting? they running on 350 mA or 1 A? i will definitely take a trip up when they get setup - are you asking your own fixture or did you buy one already if so can you give me the dimensions of the box? and how much did it cost you?
luxon is the philips leds- what laeds are you gonna use and where do you live? A guy on RC is going to try using the cree xp-g bulbs which normaly put out 120 lumens per watt but if over powered can produce up to 350 i think- i wish these were around in the market lol-...
i have learned that there are alot of led geniuses on a led forum somewhere on the internet- apparently the solaris leds are not strong lol- there are a few cree leds that you can over power the crap outta the led but you need to mount them on heatsink metal or else they will get really hot. I...
Where is absolutely fish? Also i know if you have a high power led which is 1-5 watts generally then when you power them on they hurt to look straight at them- i can look straight at t-5s all day because the led is made of be strong over am amount of distance it will penetrate stronger im...
i have a 75 gallon which im guessing is a few inches shallower then your 90- i use 6 55 watt t-5 bulbs on my tank and sps love it at the bottom of my tank- dang chalices can only stay in the shade on the sand bed : / hope this helps- im looking into leds right now to add a really strong shimmer...
Im looking into 1 watt and 4 watt bulbs- right now i know there are 1 watt each bulb in the powerbrite fixture- however i doubt that 1 watt will reach the depth of my tank which is 18 inches- my cousins are electricians and i asked them and they keep on talking about high hat lighting with leds...
can you send me a link to these power bright leds? Also can you tell me if they are strong enough to shimmer through all my t-5 bulbs when they are on- i hear some accounts that powerbrights dont cut it and only can use the leds from the solaris which are the phillips luxon leds.
i just want the leds to over power the t-5s so i can get the shimmer- so they will be supplement but should be strong enough to give shimmer with all my t-5s on at the same time.
what i have read so far that all the leds other than the ones used by solaris will not over power the t-5s of vhos. From my understanding the new models of the solaris are made with the phillips luxon rebel leds anyone else know anyhting?
Do you know anyone that sells them or anyone around here that has any of them? Thanks for the interest- the tank doesn't look natural without the shimmer lol.
I have 6 55 watt t-5s along the top of my tank- i was wondering if anyone could help me with finding LEDS to add with my T-5s to give a halide shimmer. I need the shimmer to over power the t-5s so the shimmer is seen while all my t-5s are one- i know blue leds will shimmer for moon light but the...
