Sorry I misunderstood, as it stands right now I'm researching sumps and building my own and most likely will end up buying the kit from glassholes.
My question is their kit would cover the overflow, which then leads to the sump. Then I would need a second kit that they sell to place the return...
mnat I have been looking at the glass-holes.com site and may end up drilling the tank or if I can find a member on here selling a tank I would buy that.
I'm leaning towards drilling the tank or buying a used tank, so the Aqua C is out I think.
What is a good in sump skimmer?
Maybe a member has a leftover tank after an upgrade:)they'd be willing to sell.
I'm looking to buy a 40 breeder or larger that is reef ready with overflow and drilled.
So instead of drilling the tank I think I'm going to bite the bullet and buy one that is already drilled.
If I'm lucky maybe a member on here is selling a tank I could use.
As far as protein skimmer and lighting what are your takes on that?
Thanks to my cousin I recently setup a 14 gallon biocube as my first saltwater fish tank. He has given me a 45 gallon tall tank with stand for my next upgrade.
It is not drilled so I am looking to not do a sump. After researching it seems that I would be capable of running the tank with a...
Thank you for your prompt reply and I am excited to be a member. I'm already planning on my next tank and could use the members advice.
Thanks again,

I just did mine as well through paypal and e-mailed the receipt and my information for the forum. I look forward to becoming a member and helping the community.
I was wondering if there is any other steps I need to take or about how long it takes to process the application?
Sincerely,
Brandon
hey steve it is the biocube 14g pump so it's the return. Funny thing is I added a cup of ro and unplugged/plugged the pump back in and now the noise is gone. So hopefully it was just air in the pump or something minor. Seems to be fixed now though
I just noticed that my pump is making a weird noise kind of like a fizzling sound you'd hear when a soda overflows.
It just started making that noise today, when I unplug it it stops and then continues anyone have any ideas?
Lately I have been feeding a small amount one time a day.
I have flakes for the fish or brine shrimp and then I also have "Microvore microdiet" which I alternate aswell and spot feed to the corals via a dropper.
I can't believe how much my mushroom has grown and the acans are doing very...
So I changed where the powerhead and heater were and redid some rock work.
Added a few new frags from Ocean Gallery and a whole rock of zoos.
Can someone ID the green coral on the right I forget the name of it?
Also I have 2 hermits right now 1 red leg and 1 blue leg. I think my blue leg is...
I did this and you are right, not only does it look better, but it functions better.
I was at Ocean Gallery II on Saturday for their sale and to check out their store, it is an amazing setup and I picked up a rock full of zoos and 3 frags. Pictures coming as soon as plug my camera in:).
The PH is on the right side and yeah that is the overflow where the protein skimmer is, which flows over and then down across filter media then to return pump in chamber 1. You think put the PH right under the outlet where the return pump flows?
