My favorite heaters are Jagers, but they are long. I didn't look up 150's, but I'd guess they are too long. My second choice would be Sera. Don't know the length on these either. Good luck.
EDIT TO ADD: Just looked up the Sera 150’s….they are 11.8 inches long. How about three...
Actually I've found a DIY to replace the display in the RK-2. I know that's a problem with these, the display eventually dims to the point you can no longer see it. I know, because it happened to one of mine, and I had to send it back to DA. Well DA is no longer doing this fix. So here's...
I agree….I’m seeing a bunch of blurry spots, and I haven’t even started drinking tonight. :p
I would not guess anemone because Edwin said he’s “carrying,” which in my feeble mind says it’s moving. I’m going to guess, blurry sight unseen, a stomatella…and they’re safe.
WTB Reefkeeper 2 or Lite
Looking for the old style Reefkeeper 2 (preferred), or Reefkeeper Lite. The kid dumped another tank on me and I’d like to control the temp and lights with minimal costs. Thanks for looking. Paul
Looking at dimensions and specifications, I think he's talking about THESE GUYS.
And to answer njhc's question; I would think with a 24 white to 8 blue, that that would be a very "white" look.
Oh Jim, I’m trying to hold back…..I’m trying….I’m…..Oh crap!
There is voltage and there is current. And then there are those who think grounding probes are a good thing. :p
Voltage is like having a battery sitting in your junk draw in your kitchen. It just sits...
Edwin, if you’re doing a couple hundred frags, that 2.5 gallon tank will come in handy. I use the same coleslaw container I used for Revive for the one, two or so frags I need to dip:
Zippy, I agree, not good for bees. But I don’t use any insecticides outside (none!) and I haven’t...
There is a solid column of water in your return line....unless you've got something unconventional. That solid column is the path current will take between your DT and sump.
I'm also biting my tongue on my opinion about voltage and current and grounding probes. I've stated my opinion too...
This stuff is safe for corals….haven’t had any losses from dipping. HERE’s the original video that got me hooked.
The guy in the video diluted 8 mls per liter, and I simply rounded it to 1 ml per 100 mils.
This stuff is a nicotine based insecticide that works as a neurotoxin. It’s a...
I now use Bayer Advanced…..1 ml to every 100 mls of tank water….for about 15 minutes. Kills everything (maybe with the exception of eggs….don’t know about them.)
He specifically mentioned the 6 gal buckets. I’m giving him five reef crystal buckets, and a 20, 32 and 44 gallon Brutes, with the 20 and 44 being delivered to the January meeting. Actually if you don't mind, I could just come to your house and save a few miles....and if Brian sees this as well.
David, I talked to Brian this morning and plan on meeting him at OGII at 5:00PM….he’s working today. He mentioned that he planned on first stopping at your place before going to OGII. Hopefully he’ll see this before leaving work and can verify.
To answer your question about a computer fan, they are all 12 volt. So you will need a 12VDC (or less) power source that is rated to the amps (or more) of the fan. So if your fan is 0.3 amps, the power supply has to be 0.3 amps or more.
I originally had a five computer fan setup on my tank...
