Gee whiz, I thought I was behind the times still having a rotary phone, antennae tv and a true cell phone. Self propelled mowers have been available forever. Welcome to the 21st century you city slicker. :o
If you’re looking for a little more exercise, come over and try that new fangled...
Well some say to change it weekly, but I don’t do it until it starts to show opacity….sign of bacteria having fun in that sugar water…..and yes, it’s just sugar water.
Well this was a bust for me! I haven’t seen a single hummer and any change in the amount of food in the feeders. Has anyone else witnessed hummers yet? I actually have to clean and change my food because it’s gone bad.
I'm assuming you're talking about a gallon or two that you use to mow your lawn. Easy to get rid of....with 3/4 of a tank or so in your car, dump it into your car....gone. With time, gasoline looses light volatiles. It’s a problem with starting small engines…like your mower. By putting...
Where’s Hawkeye….I think he was the most recent clown-papa.
I believe you have to have the baby food ready to go….can’t remember if it was brine shrimp or rotifers. The babies get removed from the parents and are fed the baby food.
Hopefully Hawkeye will see this and chime in.
A big +1
And with only misusing the reagents, you’re just toying with idiothood. If you were an experienced idiot, like myself, you would have knee-jerk responded to that so-called low pH and dumped a ton of alk in the tank and maybe some sodium hydroxide and whatever else you could find, to...
How are you measuring pH…..I’d first question whatever you are using to measure pH. At pH 7 you are looking at stuff dieing. So first verify you’ve got a good pH.
And as far as you low alk / high calc....they are a balancing act...the high calc will drive down the alk.
Thanks to NJRC, John Coppolino, the Elks and all those who donated frags, a clam and an LED light….Feng at Red Sand, John Coppolino, Olivier and Greg (Whitebird). Good stuff!
I didn’t see any of our members with their highfalutin cameras (for those who find highfalutin to be condescending...
Thanks everyone for the well wishes. Did nothing fancy….went out to dinner and then stared at my AARP card and wondered were 40 years of my life went. Yesterday I was 18 and today I’m……..old! Thanks again.
I’ve never heard of a “refillable” cartrige on an RO unit. They are all fixed filters.
Typically it’s (in order of water flow), Sediment Filter --- Carbon Block --- RO Membrane --- DI resin
With RO units with a whole bunch of “stages,” you might have two sediment filters or two carbon...
Don, you’re talking to a limited number of people who don’t have swimming pools for fish tanks. Not many of us use 1000W heaters. I’m a Jager believer, but they only go up to 300W....and they are glass. I’d suggest posting this over on RC or R2R.
Trivan, thanks for your concise DIY but I still have a few questions. Where exactly did you purchase the bearing and although I have large pullers, where do you get that mini bearing puller?
0.5 ppm phosphates is very high. You need to lower this number. What is your water source (tap or RO or RO/DI). Hopefully it’s RO/DI and if that’s the case, I’d start with water changes where you’re siphoning up the cyano.
I think you’re a poor parent! Taking away your kids play kitchen and basketball hoop….what’s wrong with you? Your kids will probably need psychotherapy when they get older.
I’m going to be a nice guy and take away all that cabinetry and tank so that you can give your kids back the play toys...
