More accurate and cheaper than having to replace them all the time. Also can test your sump and display seperately and do it in a few second.
We ran HOB fuges when we did not have a sump and liked it. There is a larger one:

So several years ago to avoid a ton of spam, it was made so that only member could freely post image urls and other urls, non members are blocked. There is a sticky that will tell you how to post pics as a non member.
With the nature reef reactor I get similiar issues with is bubbling out of the top of the skimmer. Also very gross and nasty, but that is the point of the skimmer.
The top crowns have gone to war with the display and have come out clearly on top. The rock looks fantastic and we will start moving corals up soon. These are some quick and dirty cell phone pics just to show what the rock looks like now.
