Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Jump on board for an order, pods at least. Free shipping at least if we get over $100 (and I'm at $70). With convos I've had, think it's worth giving them a go. More of us that order, better idea of quality, and their reviews of past few months seem quite positive.
Hi Martin, welcome aboard. I may have a few pounds of dry rock about if you need it, or if you need any more live I caan pull 2 or 3 pounds from my tank, but it sounds like you're off to a good start.
I pass on the advice I was given when starting this hobby...

Testing is key.
Water needs a ton of elements in it to keep everything healthy and happy, as I'm sure you know.
Floss is easy, I run it all the time in all tanks at the top layer of my filters.
It collects garbage and cr@p.
It should be changed OFTEN, I change mine every 1-2 days, as anything...
So, I reached out to AD and received a response from Christina Duncan, who seems to be the owner.
Seems she lost the 'Reefs' name due to the e-commerce company they were working with going bankrupt, her domain name being lost, and she's been fighting to get it back.
It apparently had nothing to...
So, these guys/gals have changed names.
I've bought pod/amphipod coral packages from them and been very happy with the purchase of the pods. Think was softies and 1 gorgon purchased from them. No survivors with the exception of green zoas.
They should go pod only imho.
I Know a lot of you guys...
Call ACC ahead of time, depending on demand they may be short, though they always seem to be good on phyto.
Also dropped a line to Aquarium Depot. Stated general dissatisfaction with livestock from a number of members, but general satisfaction with pods for the most part.
Waiting on response.
All are open, large, and looking fantastic on my end. Will be cruising site and anytime I'm at $108 I'm on an order tonight.
This is a good one folks.
EDIT
Just jumped there after reading Chris's post hoping to buy a few more corals.
In the short time we've been scoping this has been our best...
I've heard some bad press regarding Aquarium depot lately in regards to live stock (link in retailer experiences in the forums). I did order a pod order from them about a year ago, I think it was a 250 pod deal (with 250 free) and was $20 or so. I can say without doubt that I had many more than...
This has nothing to do with your problem.
Is baking soda oft found in pool supply areas? For pH control I assume?
Is it marketed as baking soda or as another product.
I don't have a pool, nor do I need baking soda, but I am very curious.
Cant recommend enough.
Sales are always good and if you stumble upon a flash sale on a weekend take advantage.
I agree on pricing at the end of the rows of tanks, BUT I've actually been in shop as they've altered prices, and changing a listing on the powerpoint is more efficient than rewriting...
THere's a restaurant supply store in Brink on Route 88, they have bags of things fro 3# to 14,000# at close to wholesale prices, gimme a sec...
OK, I'm back...
Shore Restaurant Supply Store in NJ - Equipment, Consulting, and More
We've bought everything from paper plates to fryers to cast iron...
I need to look into this nopox thing. I know Joe has talked to me in the past (and I still have some acetic acid he was kind enough to give me), I haven't started. Then again, I'm in a smaller tank now at 25g total water volume (though am dealing with early red slime outbreak now). May begin...
I tend to use Two Little Fishes Marine Snow, Amazon.com : Two Little Fishies ATLMSPD4 Marine Snow, 16.9-Ounce : Aquariums : Pet Supplies
I'll use a bit of RODI, melt food of choice in it, rinse it, then add a small amount of the snow maybe 2x per week.
I was using Coral Frenzy in the past as...

Lots of nice stuff here, average pricing, at least on zoa/paly polyps (call it $5-10 pp on average), but when you add the shipping it sorta nullifies it. They do, however, offer free shipping on orders over $300.
They have a few nice collector pieces I haven't seen in a...
