Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
WHAT! Premium Aquatics has this Alpha 170 for $780! That thing better do more than skim my tank at that price!
If you have a ton of discretionary funds, go for it.
Otherwise, with an SWC or Bubble Magus, around 200+ dollars, either would work just fine.
Herb and Anne, what can I say that hasn’t already been said!
They are the epitome of what this club is about….always giving.
Thanks….great meeting guys!

Ok Mr. Handyman , before the code-nazis see your handy-work, a couple suggestions:
1. Pick up an artists brush and paint purple cleaner on each of the pipe joints. In every town I know, you have to show purple cleaner being used. Be sloppy about it, making it look like it was used...
Nate, I question your test kit. If you're around today, I'll stop by with my kit and we'll test your water. A calc level that high, I would almost expect "snow" from precipitation.
I’m a bit concerned that the tank has not cycled. Ammonia and nitrite are very toxic to fish. You need to monitor these two chemicals to assure your tank has cycled. Once they are no longer detectable, and you now have nitrate, the tank is ready for fish. Without using a nitrifying...
Load distribution....it's not a problem where the tank rests. Better yet, top the stand with a piece of 3/4 ply and it doesn't even have to be directly over the dimensional stuff.
