Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
I didn’t have the volume on, so I don’t know what they said on the video….but for a 75 gallon tank, I would want at least 1.5 inch pipe for my “down” piping. The “up” piping with the pump could be ¾ inch.
The problem you have now is that the ¾ pipe can’t handle the volume of water being...
Looks just like my tank!
In the process of moving it ump-teen times, the corners get chipped.. Here’s a close up of one of my big chips.
What I did was pick up corner molding and attached it to the corner using Sticky-Tack:
Problem solved!
McMaster Carr - I know of locations in Dayton (South Brunswick) and Robbinsville.
Grainger - they have a bunch of locations in NJ....search the internet.
Freehold Boro was hit pretty bad. I believe they have now restored all electric, but I still heard on the news that portions of Rt 79 were still closed. A whole bunch of trees down into houses and electric lines.
A little excitement in Sayreville this morning. I was up at Waterfront Park doing my daily run, and on the fourth lap I see three of four people looking out at the water (Raritan Bay). I glance out and see a whale tail flapping in the water about 100 yards off the shore…..not even waste deep...
Sounds like a little silverside in a net will easily catch your shrimp. In addition, I’d turn off your pumps as well. I’m willing to bet that he’ll climb right into the net for the silverside.
His name is Arnold! I WIN! :glee:
So why did I have to pick wrasse….there are too many different kinds of wrasse. I’ll take a shot in the dark and guess that it is an Elegant Wrasse….I think my odds are better in Atlantic City.
Congratulations on automating the tank, and as far as the baby is concerned, your contribution was minimal and therefore your wife deserves the honors!
Congratulations!
And let me guess…level 3 will be what type of fish….and I’ve already stated wrasse.
I stick with my original answer….Professor Plum in the library with the lead pipe…..I mean fish in the sand that happens to be a wrasse!
And I’m guessing level four will be the type of wrasse! :grin...
Since crypto can not survive through its lifecycle without a host fish, I say that there was a rogue fish left behind in the tank….maybe a wrasse buried under the sand.
To the best of my knowledge, crypto can not use an invert as a host....it must be a fish.
First off, Mag Cleaners come in many different sizes. There has got to be a size that would work for you. Here are the three sizes I have. I’ve included a quarter to give you an idea of size. The middle one would work great on a 40.
I also use a Reef Gadget on the largest Mag I have...
Interesting….a sperm bank for coral. However, I’m still a bit confused! They are only preserving coral cells and sperm, and not the eggs or embryos, which are too difficulty to preserve. So if you only have the sperm, how is this preserving the species? Did I miss something? I do agree...
A couple years ago I remember posts about black sand containing a ferric (iron) component and therefore your mag-cleaner picked it up and potentially scratched your glass.
I don’t know if it was one brand or all brands of black sand, and whether it is still true today, but it is one thing I’d...
