Thank you, I have been doing the same. So far I have discovered two nusince anenomes which have necessitated a reduction in the rubble- if only the bumble bees thougth thoes looked tasty. In the event I find any positive hitchikers back there, I'll keep you informed.
Had a wonderful experience today going up to AO. They picked up a beautiful flameback angel for us, that is doing great in our tank. I also just had to pickup some of the beautiful zoos that they had, which also all opened up in our tank when we brought them home. It was also nice to see Bill...
We read Coral magazine when it comes out every other month. We have found the following books very helpfull:
The Conscientious Marine Aquarist by Bob Fenner (Basically the bible of salt water fish)
The Marine Fish Health and Feeding Handbook
The Nano-Reef Handbook by Brightwell
The Complete...
I guess I added the live rock rubble to make sure I had proper feng shui in the back. ;) Your point makes sense and I will have to closely monitor that situation. BTW, our bumblee snails finally showed their dark side when they demolished one of my feather dusters. They never went after anything...
So we have had the BTA in the tank roughly 2 weeks. It has settled into a nice piece of live rock with a big whole in it so it is very secure. We started noticing that it was looking a little funny and then we came home to this.
We are pretty excited.
They will move around to a spot of their liking. I would try and place him on a rock and go from there. They like flow, but not heavy which will cause them to move.

Any dragonet is extremely hard to breed, they just put an exhibit down in the Smithsonian centered around breeding mandarins. That whole board has a lot on breedin mandarins led by Matt Wittenrich who...
We have a 4x24 T5 setup on our 20 gallon and we keep zoas and all different types of LPS in there. They are all doing fine with that light and the tank is a 20G tall. You might might might be able to keep some SPS in there if you have them high enough in the tank. If you are just looking for...
The big question is why would you upgrade your lighting? If your corals are doing fine under this light, then don't do anything. Now if you decided you want to try SPS or clams then yes you might want to upgrade. You can always look at a MH pendant with T5 bulbs if you want to upgrade.
You could go with a dwarf angel in a 50 gallon with no problem. A flame, pygmy or coral beauty would be a beautiful addition to your tank and can go easily into a 50. You could also look at a reef safe wrasse.
Welcome to the club and yes it is addicting. Your lighting will be fine for your tank when you upgrade down the road. The difference between the skimmer is the drain fitting which goes around your powerhead and draws water off of the top of your water line which is supposed to help skimming...
So I start with blackworms and then you throw this at me? :) Just fed the fish blackworms for the first time and it took them a while but they ate them. My duncans and dendro LOVED it. They closed right up and were very happy. How many times a week do you feed the blackworms?
