I’ve done work with a mechanical contractor (a degreed “plumber”), and he would pressurize newly assembled lines within minutes of the last glue-up. This would especially be true within our low-pressure systems with our tanks. You should be good to go minutes after gluing up that last pipe...
The easiest sock holder (for the ones that have the rigid plastic tops), is to put a tee in the drain pipe and hang the plastic piece in the sock rim on that tee. These pictures came from George (TanksNStuff):
Yet another option is this contraption found HERE.
Actually I just ran the head loss on RC...they don't have the 1262, so I used the 1250. Very little difference in 1 1/2 and 1 inch pipe....about 2% with the numbers I used.
It depends on how accurate your measuring tools are. If you are using a graduated syringe that hold maybe 2 mls or so, I’d go for 1.5 mls tank water with 0.5 mls of RO/DI….this will give you the 25% reduction….and the syringe is an accurate measure.

Take 7.5 mls of tank water and add 2.5 mls of water (25% dilution)
Using your test kit, measure the magnesium quantity.
When you get...
Sunny, it’s not cold weather…..really, how cold is your basement….maybe 60? Anyway, where is the crack in your bucket? Mine is on the bottom, right on the injection molding point. Using a Sharpie, I put a line on the crack and circled it.
I’m tempted to write a letter to ESV. This...

Dave, the more I think about this, I’m not quite sure what you are attempting to accomplish.
Now I have no idea how the Bubble Magnus NAC6 performs, but it is one of those new fangled cone skimmers that are the rage. Accordingly I’m not sure if you’ll see any difference with the choices you...
