    Ecotech Vortech Controller Malfunction

Greatly appreciated....that will save me. I don't know what speed it's in.......I've got to believe some safety mode speed....but it's not that fast, and it's non-controllable. This is the second Vortech controller that's crapped out on me....the other was a much newer MP10. I did crack...

Don't know about Finnex. I will tell you that my second choice is Sera. I'll use their heaters when a Jager won't fit......that's my one complaint about Jager's, they are long.

Going to clean my Sicce Syncra return pump for my AIO= had questions

I have the smaller Sicce Syncra on my biopellet reactor (I think the 1.0)....I believe they are all built the same.....they come apart very easily, so take it apart. There is a rubber o-ring around the faceplate of the pump. EDIT TO ADD: HERE's a video on taking apart a Sicce

    Red Sea 130D AIO

I don't know Apex, but I'm surprised that it doesn't actually control your heaters. I have old school ReefKeeper 2 and it controls my two heaters from 78.0 to 78.3....never fluctuates from these temp's unless it's summer and I haven't turned on the air conditioner. Go Eheim Jager......twice...

    Float switch holder

RJ, two suggestions: 1. HERE's the DIY write up I did....for about $13. If interested, I could do the soldering for you....or actually assemble the whole thing if you buy the parts. 2. Option two is to pick up Aquahub's Premium kit....for $40.....still requires assembly, but no soldering...

Bob, I never had a snail guard on a horizontal float switch....considering I have this in my ATO reservoir in RO/DI water....with no snails. However, on vertical float switches, I've used little plastic jars with a wide-mouth lids were I've drilled holes in the side of the plastic bottle...
