I am thinking about adding some fish to my 75g SPS dominated tank. Sand substrate. The tank just looks empty. Going to add a screen top too. I bought an orange spotted goby it didn't last one night before it jumped.
So here's what I have now:
Kole Tang
Clown pair
Six line wrasse
5x Green...
Looks like my wp25's require cleaning every two months. Even when they are not particularly dirty. Otherwise the flow is reduced significantly. Do ecotech and tunze have this problem as well?

I feed reef roid primarily and my skimmer is ok. After about 30 minutes the food particles are significantly less. Also I run a filter sock before the skimmer.

Go to a gym for a few months then decide what type of equipment you want to use. I have an elliptical and a treadmill but I am mostly on the treadmill. I use the elliptical every once a while to give my knees a break.

Mine is a coralife. I also have a GE I bought from home depot. This difference is it's not designed for aquarium use and does not have the night recepticles that will turn on opposite the daytime ones. From the look of it it's made by the same company.
Paul - I use one of these! Maybe it's time to upgrade to an Apex.
I also use two of these. Not sure if they're safe but definitely convenient with individual switches.
So, what you get for the holidays?
I have a hard time deciding the Nepture Apex and ATI T5 fixtures. I eventually decided on the ATI. Now I have no excuse if my SPS are not growing well :)
My tank water is 33 ppm (I just realized that I might have measured the salinity wrong). So how to I raise it to 35 ppm? Can I just dissolve some salt and add to the sump everyday?
So it looks simple but I need a lesson on this. Mine does not come with a manual (another way of saying even an idiot can use it).
The calibration fluid says 35 ppm at 77 degrees. It's kept at 65 degrees.
My room temperature in the basement is 65 degrees.
The tank temperature is 78...
I have used mine for about 3 months and happy with the performance. I have two on a 75g, both in wave mode. Here's a video of the flow.

You can use a 30 gallon tank for sump if you don't want a new stand.
I assume you already drilled your tank or you're using an overflow box? If it's the later yeah I will definitely upgrade because you have to buy a new tank to drill anyway.
Thanks for the suggestions on the spa timer but it just seems too much work for me :)
I am going back to the digital timer idea. I feed the tank just before going to bed or in the early morning before going to work, when the PE is the best. I have a digital timer that allow me to set 7 on/off...
