I was thinking about using black vinyl on the outside to black out the side. You cannot really see anythign on that side which is why I was thinking that. I agree with the check valve, it would definatly suck to have the tank drain on the floor.
I am getting ready to redo my 70 tec tank and I am looking for ideas. The tank is sitting in the corner of the corner of the room and is really only visible from the front and left side. The right side is 7" from the wall. I was thinking about blacking out that right side and possibly moving...
Looking to pick up a cheap all in one tank I can set up to quarantine my corals in while trying to kill off the Bryopsis. Let me know what you have.
Thanks,
Paul
I tried the Tech-M all it seemed to do is slow the growth. I have been messing with this for about a year now and this is not enjoyable or cheap. I figured I would give it one more shot before draining the tank.
Well, I am approaching the end of my Algae-x treatment and it looks like it did nothing. Bryopsis is still green and thriving. I decided to replace all the rock and sand in the tank. I ordered 50 lbs of marco key largo rock. I am looking for advise on the best way to go about this. I am assuming...
The live rock in my tank is Marco Rocks. It was dry rock when I got it. The devil algae came on a frag from the frag swap. I wasn't having any issues until then. I am also not sure I would want anyone to hold the corals because they all pretty much have bryopsis somewhere on / near them. I am...
I may have to give that solution a try. My other option that I was thinking of doing is to buy some more marco rock and cycle it in my basement. Remove all the rock and sand from my tank keeping the fish and anemone and starting over. The only dowmside is I will lose my remaing corals. IDK.
It took alot of searching but I found it in Canada. Prices are in Canadian http://www.reefconcept.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=152_232&osCsid=3059e2a9bb00647753dc12a4c75e8b7a
I have tried taking half the rocks out, letting them sit out for 3 days then pressure washing them and putting them back in and the stuff still grows back. This stuff is the devil! Round 2 of treatment tonight. No noticeable change as of yet. only 2 days in
Well, Since the 2008 frag swap I acquired Bryopsis Algae on one of the frags I bought. I have been battling this Algae for about a year and it has killed most of the coral in my tank. I am assuming it is mostly from me trying to pluck it off. It kills the cheato in my sump. I have tried a...
I have acquired this algae after the frag swap and it has been hell trying to get rid of it. I took out literally half of my live rock and let it die and pressure washed it off. This algae still came back. I have been picking it off the rocks but it just grows back. My tangs don't touch it and...
