When i was running one my 34 gallon i had it connected to my ac jr. and it was set to close the solenoid when the ph dropped below a set point. That worked out pretty well to prevent ph from dropping too low.

Thanks. I barely get any algae on the outside of the tank which im surprised at.

It actually began to "settle" in on its own. For the first week or 2 it wasnt flowing evenly on all sides but now its good.

Yea theres a pretty decent difference in price and the light isnt included. Id recommend the 22zr though you get everything at that price. The 40 gallon is about $500 more.

If you can buy it from dr.mac at pacific east aquaculture because the customer support is a little less than stellar from zeroedge. Mac can also get you the best price.

My tank hit 88 degress while i was away for a few days. Pretty much fried everything....
